Ecometrix admitted as a member of LeadIT

LeadIT was launched by Sweden and India at the 2019 UN Climate Summit. It was the first global high-level initiative aimed at achieving net-zero emissions from heavy industry. Originally established to support industries whose emissions were considered “impossible to reduce”, LeadIT has made significant progress since 2019 and a new phase of LeadIT was launched at COP28 in Dubai in 2023.

The Leadership Group for Industry Transition (LeadIT) brings together countries and companies committed to action to achieve the Paris Agreement. It was launched by the governments of Sweden and India at the UN Climate Summit in September 2019 and is supported by the World Economic Forum.

As a member of LeadIT, we join the mission that energy-intensive industry can and must move forward on low-carbon paths, with the goal of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050.

With the membership, Ecometrix gains a network of Indian and Swedish companies as well as access to meetings, analyses and experts for carbon dioxide improvement in heavy industry.
